Dandelions are Flowers...and edible at that

Why do we as citizens have no say in whether our parks are sprayed with potentioally dangerous chemicals?
All the parks in the state of Illinois are chemical free as are the parks in the great cities of San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Helena..............why not Denver?

Dandelions are important plants for bees. Not only is their flowering used as an indicator that the honey bee season is starting, but they are also an important source of nectar and pollen early in the season.

With the rise of voices in the City of Denver, the parks and public land areas can become pesticide-free. Best way to start is to contact the park nearest you! Then, your local council representative. Phone calls followed up with letters work best. Letters are hard evidence you want change. Don't be afraid to ask for change. Have friends, neighbors, relatives do so, too. It can be done. It is being done. Denver needs to listen! It is, after all, YOUR city! bzzzzz

Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to preserving bees!
